The TUV provides advice, assistance and advocacy for tenants of private and public residential properties.

The TUV can help you:

  • Fill in forms or agreements relating to your tenancy
  • With advice on problems such as repairs and rent increases
  • By negotiating and advocating on your behalf with your landlord or agent
  • By assisting or representing you at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
     

Tenants Union Advice Service

The Tenants Union of Victoria provides free, confidential advice and a legal service for public and private residential tenants in Victoria. Tenants Union services include:

  • telephone/in-person/email advice
  • representing tenants at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT)
  • referrals to other services

You can drop in for advice at our offi ce from 9am to 4.30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and on Wednesday from 1pm to 8pm, except on public holidays.
